Hidden Experience

At the time I did this I wanted to work on introspection, dealing with judgements, confusion, hidden joys, forbidden lusts and hide within me.
In an attempt to do that I made this piece where I wrote down all my scribbles and notes from my personal diary. Then I stitched and did applique on a 4 meter long dyed velvet cloth where I also put a very old homemade kantha piece to depict, or I can say, to observe my dichotomy.
Then I fold thaat cloth from the sides and that’s how it emerged like a human torso. Literally, with what all I experience within. Torso on a rectangular Kantha symbolizes ground base and my very own personal space in this mother Earth. I named my work “Hidden Experience”
