Leaving Home

‘Leaving home’ is a film based on a family travelling to their village revisiting memories of the past through folktales and landscape of Sohra (Cherrapunji) It deals with displacement of nature and its indigenous people. The narrative is built upon by fragments of Images and sounds of life and topography of Cherrapunji. It explores the non-linear structure to compose a poetic atmosphere by superimposing visuals distorting the experience of time and space in the film creating a lyrical journey.
